allmanhall and Unilever Food Solutions join forces
to help good food go further

Food poverty and food waste remain two of the UK’s most pressing challenges. That is why allmanhall and Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) are coming together to support Felix through a new Buy to Give campaign, turning everyday foodservice purchases into meaningful support for communities that need it most.
UFS is Unilever’s dedicated foodservice business, working with chefs and caterers to provide trusted products, practical solutions and culinary expertise. Through this collaboration, UFS and allmanhall are using their shared reach across the foodservice sector to help reduce waste and increase the positive impact of customers’ everyday orders.

Ahead of the campaign launch, three members of the allmanhall team, Natia Goddard, Tom Ferris and Tracey-Ann Walpole, spent a day volunteering at the FareShare South West depot, working alongside the team to sort and redistribute donated food. Fresh milk, whole chickens and more carrots than you’d believe, all of it destined for people and families who need it most, rather than a skip.

It is one thing to know that food redistribution happens. It is another to stand in a busy warehouse and see it in action: the volume of food, the speed of the operation and the sheer number of community groups relying on what comes through the door each day. The team left with a much more vivid sense of the work involved and genuine admiration for the people who make it happen every day.
Turning everyday orders into something more
The volunteering day also marks the launch of the allmanhall and UFS Buy to Give campaign, running from 1 September to 16 October 2026.
During this period, allmanhall clients purchasing eligible Unilever Food Solutions products through Bidfood Direct will help generate a donation equivalent to 4% of sales to Felix. Funded jointly by allmanhall and UFS, the campaign enables customers to support the initiative through their usual ordering process, with no additional cost or administration.
Food is foundational to learning, wellbeing and opportunity. By choosing eligible UFS products during the promotional period, allmanhall clients can turn routine purchasing into direct support for the redistribution of good food to communities that might otherwise go without.
Why this collaboration matters
The volunteering day and Buy to Give campaign reflect a shared belief between allmanhall and UFS: organisations working across the food supply chain have an opportunity to create positive change beyond the products they provide. By combining allmanhall’s customer relationships with UFS’s foodservice expertise and portfolio, the partnership makes it simple for clients to contribute through the purchases they already make.
As Jo Hall, co-owner and Managing Director of allmanhall, put it on the day:
“Stopping all this food going to waste and getting it instead to people who need it, that’s exactly where we want to be spending our time.”
Together, allmanhall, UFS and their customers can help good food go further.
