Background

In March 2019, Badminton School were introduced to allmanhall at the ISBA Catering Conference. Badminton were researching opportunities to action further improvements to its catering systems and processes. Key elements included the need for purchasing savings, combined with an efficient stocktaking mechanism that allowed considered review of monthly purchases.

What did the client need?

Badminton School sought to:

  • improve catering systems and processes
  • track allergens, nutrition and costings

What was the result?

allmanhall introduced the catering management software in 2019. This industry-leading, cloud-based catering control platform helps to track and manage every penny of spend. It was provided with full support as part of allmanhall’s comprehensive procurement solution.

allmanhall EDI, through the platform, ensures that all core supplier invoices are automatically loaded onto the system, line by line, at the point of order. This allows full visibility of all products purchased, including the description and price. All core suppliers have been successfully integrated into EDI through the platform, and the invoice and credit note data is also HMRC compliant.

In the first six months of the relationship, allmanhall reduced the number of traded invoices from 787 to just 7, generating administrative savings of 99.15% between July 2019 and January 2020.

Using the platform portal, Badminton School has been able to upload all of their recipes with nutritional information and a costings analysis. With support from allmanhall’s Registered Dietitian, Tess Warnes, the catering control platform has the capability to analyse and report the key nutritional data within any given dish.

Of particular importance, in part due to the 2014 EUFIC allergen legislation, the catering control platform also lists the key Annex II allergens in each dish. This application is also capable of analysing wider dietary requirements and preferences such as Halal, Kosher or vegetarian.

Badminton School also benefits from a fully manned and expert help desk – allmanhall are on hand to offer award-winning support, advice and training to the School’s catering team.
